3 rings today... well sort of...

I hit the beach I worked last week and today found the beach all ripped up after the storm we just had.. I hunted the wet sand and rocks again today because I wasn't going to venture out in the 4 foot high surf pounding onshore.

The 3 rings I found, 2 are silver but are only pieces of the rings both are missing part of the band, the 10k high school ring is missing a tiny piece of its band on the bottom.

I was very happy to find the Buffalo's and 2 silver quarters today to go along with the 8 silver dimes..

Because I worked the wet sand I didn't have room to post the nails and screws the PI loves to find lol... Maybe next time :)

Storm stripped the beach of its sand, it left a layer of clay I couldn't dig into so I'm going to bring a shovel tomorrow.. I was hunting 20 feet from the high tide mark (wet sand and stone) I couldn't get in the water waves would have killed me lol... most of the silver was blown up on the beach so digging was pretty easy.. Its funny I never see any one else detect this beach in all the times I have been there.. I guess its not big enough or commercial enough for some... Better for me.. :) I love the small out of the way beaches, I'm going to hit another one later this week and then a private beach I just got permission to detect in a gated community. My biggest problem is I have too many beaches I want to detect lol..

I'd keep on that hole till it plays out. Gotta be some sweet stuff stirred up in the mine with the 4 footers and all huh? Nice loot man!

Cause you should see the clad that comes from the salt water around here...

I would be hard to believe the old coins would hold up after all those years

Heres Some pic of a dime after salt water......
Any one else get the same results...

Our coins come out like that sometimes as well... I hunt saltwater 95% of the time.. If I was to buy a discriminating water machine I guess I would hit the lakes around here more.

Most of our old silver is light as a feather and I guess they say it turns to silver sulfide you can break them up into little pieces they are so brittle.
