So when the ice has only been off the lakes for roughly 3 weeks and the temp is 45 with 19mph winds and its raining.....stay in the house and watch tv?!? right?!? Wrong....only if your crazy will you go out in chest deep water with these kind of conditions...yep..thats what i did today. i need to send my unit in for service for sure now..(will not pinpoint and still has water inside the screen)...it was a pretty good hour or so ......im still shivering though. anyways..3 rings found

"justsayin" mine(AT PRO) is on its way to Texas to be worked on.....it wont even turn on now. Called Garrett and they sent me a return lable via email and it will be fixed......First time Ive had a problem...the phone call to Garrett was very pleasant

I don't know about water under the screen, but mine went nuts after I took it in the water last weekend. Garrett sent me a new one, but I haven't had this one in the water yet!! Hopefully this weekend it will get wet if it doesn't rain again( thunder and lightening)

Yep, it is wrong, if that is what it is.

Some people, me included mainly bought the machine because of the waterproof feature.

We can only hope that they didn't add that feature as an after thought.
