Saturday morning I decided to hit a beach that I had not visited in over a year. In the past this beach had not been very good to me as finds were few and very far between.
I tried three different spots before I settled down and got serious about searching. First spot produced absolutely nothing. Second spot produced one Tungsten Spinner Ring.
The Ocean was almost calm. Calmest that I have seen it in a mighty long time. I could wade out as deep as I wanted and not have to worry about a wave slapping me in the face or knocking me on my backside as happened far too much lately.
I spent a total of about seven hours in and out of the water. Mostly in the water.
My days finds were the tungsten ring, $2.40 in clad, one junk ear ring, one junk bracelet, 18 ounces of lead sinkers, one toy car and two 14K gold rings. The two rings total 5.2 grams but they sure were a welcome addition as I thought that August was going to be another one of those months where the gold gods frowned when they saw me out swinging a coil.
I have heard the interlocked bands called Italian Wedding Bands. Last year I found one like it at a different beach in sterling silver.
