I took the Vaquero to the woods today of the local park in the same area I found a mercury dime last week . I dont know how I missed this but at the base of a tree I got a loud signal that didnt disc out but it also gave a double beep . A few inches down I pinpointed and popped out a silver quarter . I then rechecked the hole and got a silver dime in the loose soil that I had removed . I rechecked and a few inches away came the nickle. A few inches further came a shotgun shell . Maybe a hunter sat against that tree. Anyway those were the only good finds . I had the Vaquero at minimum disc with sens a little in the red and used the stock coil .I hunted perhaps an hour before I got fatigued and had to give it up for the day .

the age old question we have all asked ourselves but the reality is it should be the other way around I know I missed stuff I need to go back

good job on the finds Hatpin

Nice finds, hope to get out this weekend and give it a shot at finding at least one piece of silver for this year.

Nice finds hatpin. I think you are right. Someone sitting their while hunting. Lost a little change just for you. Maybe when he shot that shot gun, it rolled him back and out come the change. Just wonder how long it was their waiting for you to find it... KEN from Ind.

I always search the down hill side of large trees. This is the first time I recall finding a coin by one .

thats nice Hatpin

Sounds like you got some nice areas to hunt in the woods, I find a lot of shotgun shells as well and do occasionally find a coin in the mix. I like hunting the wooded areas a lot you never know what you will come up with. I know when I was a kid that is where we played all the time. Good going on the coins!
