sorry dont have a camera yet, i found a three piece georgia button today and many say its postwar but in the button book it says with the scovill civil war bacmark that some consider it war button does anyone else have any other information thanks hal
 
Nice find Hal, to accurately date CW buttons, you need either the McGuinn/Bazelon book: American Military Button Makers & Dealers, their Backmarks & dates or Warren Tice's book; Dating Buttons. Both are listed in our Books/CD's page. This info along with pics help you ID prewar, wartime and post war buttons. Good hunting, David@Dixie
