today made up for last couple outings. My first good dig was what looks to be a Connecticut Copper 1785-87. I'm not sure because i can see "NIA" on side with lady sitting but on reverse side the Bust faces left??? A Hibernia copper would be 1722-24 but I cannot find one with Bust facing left. Anyone know for sure???
Six inches away from this I dug a 1773 half penny.
And finished off the day with a 1818 Matron head copper.
I have them all soaking but will take and post pics.
this all in four hours. Some days are diamonds... <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

Hi 007,
Don`t most of the Hibernia cents have the Irish Harp on the back and not the Seated Lady?
George I & George II coppers face left instead of right and say BRITAI(NIA) around the top with the date under the lady. We`ll wait till they soak a little more, but I think that`s what you described.
God Bless, -- Charlie in NC
PS. I want to find a Mass. or a Conn. copper BAD- or a JERSY- they tear my nerves up when you guys find them!!!
