Managed to get out yesterday and went back to the river bank footpath, found two young head Victorian pennys 1862 and 1865 one young head Victorian

half penny 1862 and a George V Silver sixpence 1926 in very good shape, also some modern coins, a couple of buttons, and a disc of some sort.

Very nice! Congrats on the silver!:beers: My wife found one o'those with her Ace on the Gulf Coast beaches here in the States. I guess it was probably from some of the kids that were sent over here during WW2.
Didn't even know what it was 'til I cleaned it up. It was totally black from oxidation. Cleaned up really nice, though.
Thanks for sharing! Happy Hunting!:)

Yes Metalhead, most of my pre 1947 silver coins were black from oxidation

but soap and water, and a little baking power paste cleans them up like new.

Friday looks like a nice day, so I wil wander the river footpath again.

Wish me luck.

Yes Bacardi, the A T Pro is the best at finding those Gold Rings, just listen for those

sweet mellow tones, most have been in the lower 40s and up to the higher 50s

so you have to dig some trash to find the good stuff.
