3 more silver tonite........

Knocked on a door tonite and the owner said NO. So I asked him if I could hunt the large curb strips in front of his house and he said that was fine. Got several wheats, a 1926 buffalo, silver war nickel, 1940 merc, and a sterling ring. Man I bet his yard is loaded! Gotta love them curb strips spent well over an hour on his curb!

Nice hunt! Way to save it with asking to do the curb strip. Maybe after he sees how you handled your plugs he will say yes on the yard. I bet he will inspect how you left the area.

Great finds man! Thanks for the pictures.

I wonder...

What do you think would happen if you put several wheats and a buffalo in an envelope and put them on his door saying this is his "half" of what you found. Do you think he might let you hunt the rest for "half"?

I've done something similar at a few places and really had some good luck. One guy even went around with me to all his neighbors asking if I could hunt their yards. I was delighted to give him half - he didn't even mind me picking the half.

Just an idea.

Good hunt.

The "how about just the curb" question is an interesting comeback to a "No" answer. I hadn't thought of that.

Phillip's, idea above, is an interesting approach too!

Nice snags... I know of a yard, no, make that 2 that has to be loaded as the Curbs paid off huge, but.... there's that word. the yards are off limits until ?

I'm telling you right now. The "halfsies" thing has brought me some incredible finds.

Always remember: HALF of SOMETHING is MUCH BETTER THAN ALL of NOTHING.
