I've done a lot of digging the last few days and cleaned a LOT of junk out of my regular hunting grounds but No Silver and NO GOLD! It happens to all of us but you can't push the river and your sure can't push Mother Ocean. Time to get creative and find another way around the problem.
On the plus side, the Bikinis have started to return to Bermuda just like the Swallows return to Capistrano. I ran into a gal at the end of my hunt who was thigh deep in the 63 degree water and wearing only a Victoria's Secret Silver Bikini (really more like a couple of strings and three patches of tinfoil). Her friend was taking pics of her so she could make a Valentines Day card for her boyfriend, Lucky Guy! So it's not all bad out there, you just have to look for the silver linings.

It would be nice if everytime we went out there was gold or at least silver in our scoops but let's face it, there are detectorists that have been at it for over a year or more and still no gold. I guess if we always found gold and silver on every hunt we'd have to stop calling it treasure hunting and rename it precious metal collecting.
The weather has been beautiful, the sites lovely and I haven't used the snow shovel once this year.
