I went to the Gulf beach near home this afternoon, from 3:00 to 6:00, sorry no pics. of sunsets had to get back into town early. The Beach is starting to get busy now that the weather is perfect, 81 degrees today water temp was nice , just shorts and a t shirt for 3 hrs. I found one small toe ring .925 with a junk blue stone, and one nice 1.8 gram 14k earring. I have this place pretty cleaned out, I got bored and started digging all targets, even the bottle caps. In a few weeks it will be worth hitting again. Thanks for looking. HH

Bruce, some small ones , but maybe you see one a hunt, now at another gulf beach I hunt you will see them every time, they will come up to the coil and check it out. I have seen them so thick on the east coast at times you can't walk in the water without hitting them. All of the ones I see are the small brown ones, they feel fuzzy when you touch them, but I have a great respect for them those little barbs are painful. But that is what makes this a challenging hobby, Alligators, Stingrays, Jellyfish, Sharks and the most dangerous,Little Kids. (just kidding about the kids). HH

Last month, the rays were out in force on the east coast. They very were hard to avoid as they rode the surf in and out.

I was over at Cocoa last Saturday and didn't see even one. The wash was churning bad and there was allot of sand suspended in the water. That may be part of the reason why there weren't any to see.
