3 hr. River spin, Another beautiful day in Fl.

Went to the River this morning, my first hunt in over a week do to an open wound from a bike accident, but all is OK. I hit the river at 10:30 and stayed till1:30. targets were plentiful, no Gold , but one used to be silver plated ring it is mostly copper now. Found 2.75 in clad ( .25 cent short of paying for park entrance) a knife and one truck. The rest was my usual junk.

The weather was in the Eighties, sun shining and water temp at 72 degrees. Had some fish follow me around to feed on whatever I dug up. Here is my spin for the day.

Looks nice, did you tube down also? I have been down the ichetucknee river, tubing and swiming that is (back in the 70's)

Where is that river man is that clear. All mine are like coffee...

No, not Crystal River. This is the head waters of the Rainbow River. Things have been slow this year the park ranger said they think the price of gas has affected there attendance. Most people travel quite a distance to get here from Tampa and further. It is a 4 hour trip down the River with just the one exit. The state Park just added a raft service at the park across the River but you can't hunt the State Park waters. Cracker have you been back to Beer can Island? That big party ( July 4th) is just around the corner. HH

Awesome! I see a swiss in there loot!! Cool!

I love the fish photo! They are soooo cute!

Glad to hear you are getting your hands dirty, even with the injury. Fresh air and exercise is always good for a quick heal, I say!

Good Hunting!!

Very pretty river. Loved the clear water. That would be a river for me to dive down!!

I HAVEN'T MADE IT BACK TO BEER CAN BUT I WANT TO THE TIDE HAS BEEN HIGH DURING THE DAY NEXT WEEK LOOKS PROMISING IVE BEEN @ SIMMONS PARK AND BAHIA BEACH LATELY. I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND THAT LAST RING I FOUND CAUSE THEIR ARE PLENTY OF OTHER GUY DETECTING ALSO

Hopefully they are 4 miles down the River where it empties into another River with much warmer waters , they don't care for the 72 degree temp. There are to many people on the river, most gators try to avoid humans. I have spent time on this river sense I was a kid in the 50s and have never heard of an Alligator attack, but I do catch myself looking over my shoulder once in a while, just habit from hunting in the lakes and non spring fed rivers here in Fl. HH

...I sure-'nuff like being the biggest thang in the pond up here.

I think it helps me concentration to know I'm at the TOP of the food chain when diving not-so-clear waters.
