3 hours with the vaq today

went to a local park today and found 42 coins in 3 hours plus a rusty pen knife and a class ring that was hit with a mower. no silver just $1.43 in clad. did find 4 nickels. I find more nickels with the vaq than I do with my other 3 detectors.

Nice! Where do you have the disc set at in order to pick up the nickels? is there a certain spot you set it on?

I had to check the name and make sure this wasnt one of my old post resurrected . LOL. I also found a class ring that was hit by a lawn mower in a local park with a Vaquero about five years ago . .

The Vaquero is my favorite Tesoro machine. I always found good stuff with it.

I took the disc knob off and reset it so that a nickel just kind of spits and pops and is almost gone when your over it. I used a nickel buried in my test garden at about 5" when I did this so it works pretty good though I still dig some square tabs. I cant make much out on the class ring only the gem and part of the head of the ring are left. the band was completely chopped off.
