3 ghost town hunts

Been out of the loop for a couple of months. Pics are from my last 3 hunts and are in order. Finds were Ok. tax token and 2
folded ones. Found 7 wheats, oldest a 1916D, 1906 V nickel, and a 1905 barber dime. Snagged a 16 GA full brass shotgun shell.
The two pistols were surface finds. My brother got 2 mercs and a barber dime, two of which were surface finds. Also found a piece
of petrified wood. Thanks for looking!!

Thanks Jeff and Jim, I'm going to try and not be so much of a stranger. Life tends to get in the way of our hobby sometimes!

Has to be a way to date the brass shell. I love trying to research what I can and figure out how it got there. Still working on a couple of my shell casing finds...... neat stuff you got there!

Those brass shot shells are really somthing

Nice hunt.
Like the flat button. 👍🏻
Thanks MikeO, but you're probably referring to the shotgun primer. I find a lot of those with the round edge broke off.

I'm sure it's early 1900's. I can read Winchester on the headstamp but nothing else
