I just spent an hours catching up on 181 post that I missed. Congrats to all on your finds, and getting your help back, bda and the Spain loot was unbelievable. HH
I just spent 3 days 100 yards from the beach. I had my 4 Grand kids and a friend of one, so I was limited to the time I hunted. I got in about 11 hrs. total time on the beach with detector. I had watched this place on the Surf Cam for the past 3 weeks and was pleased at the crowds that were there. I just knew that this was going to be easy pickings. With the storm off Jacksonville as we arrived it was rough and never got any better.
Long story short the kids had a great time surfing and boogie boarding, PaPa Joe got beat up for about 10 hrs. total in the water ,the other hr. was dry sand. I saw tons of Gold on the tourist but it was going home with them. I met 3 locals with detectors and they all had the mumbles and said it has been sanded in bad for the past month or so all along Cocoa Beach. Found allot of can slaw moving around, I got 2 silver, one ring,an earring and a junk earring ,some clad and fishing sinkers.
Got to watch the cruise ships come and go, they looked like they were cutting thur the beach they were so close. Here is my spin. HH
