3 Crusty Rings

scott.f

I got out yesterday to a local lake that is highly alkaline. Had an enjoyable afternoon wading around swinging the Sand Shark and although the signals were very few and far apart I did manage to dig 3 very crusty old silver rings by digging signals that I wasn't sure were even there at first.

Here's the loot for the day...

And a shot of the rings before and after cleaning them up..

wow, u did great, what a difference in the before and after pics. you done a good job cleaning them up. id never guessed they would have come that clean

Nice score..

It never fails to surprise me how nicely silver cleans up even with heavy tarnish.

Congrats again.

Hunting shallow water and a fairly hard bottom. I just picked them up by hand after they went through the scoop...

Scott I have found myself doing the same thing. Last saturday hand searching after it slipped the scoop netted a .177 caliber lead pellet from a BB gun, silver stud earring and charm cross. While I do prefer running a screen this heavy clay and gravel type bottom at this spot doesn't work well together.
