Seems like deja vu without a spoon lol. Although this was at a different park on the other side of town. This time I had a "helper" from nature. I will work backwards with my story. At the end of my hunt, I see this little chipmunk running his little legs off along the roadside heading towards the old stone stairs that empty into the woods. ( I still have to figure out why these stairs just empty into the woods, obviously something use to be on this hill) But chippy knew I was coming up behind him so he took off into the woods. At the top stair and off to the right, I see his little hole that he dug. I turn on my detector and scan over chippy's hideout and BAM! 180 on the meter and with audio blaring. So I lightly brush chippy's little dirt pile with my finger and right on top was a 1928 penny! The little guy dug it up for me lol Of all times, I wish I had my camera with me today.
The one-way -> 1924 Mercury dime was right on the old stone wall mixed in with some iron trash. once again, I lifted up the back of the coil and did the tippy toe and managed to get about 70 degrees around with a steady signal and audio. This area is an old swimming hole from 1914. This is another "beaten-to-death" park and although many have graced the park with their detectors, it was the GT that sniffed out this "hidden" silver dime.
The other penny is from 1944.
Did I ever tell you how much I love my GT? lol
