Just back from detecting from across the water, man what a hot day over there... this is the goodie pile that I found... Managed to connect with Surf&Turf over there... Had a great time, not a lot of real good targets. Did manage a 14 K Gold Claddah Ring to add to the Ring Daddy Page.... Also got a silver washington quarter... quite a bit of new coins already on the beaches... Good times,Good friends,Good company... Enjoyed the day very much...

Great job and finds! But more importantly, you appear to have your priorities straight, as you made a point to mention good times, good friends, and good company. These days I'm more about my friends and all you mentioned on a hunt. I'd honestly rather hunt with good friends on any given day and not find anything good, then to hunt by myself and find some keepers. I can say some of the people I met years ago on the net are now among my trusted friends. More so than certain family members, and I'd trust these few detecting friends with my life more than I would some in my own family. That's really what the real treasure in this hobby is all about, and not what you find at the bottom of a plug or the bottom of your scoop. Greed and envy ruins this hobby for some, where as those who don't feel the "green eye" are the ones who really get the most out of it.
