3.5 lbs. of lead sinkers at the beach hunt today!

Mid-day hunt at the same area that I found a silver ring a couple of days ago. Managed to find another one today along with a 1953 D "wheatie"

Tide was high again and it was clear and sunny out there!

My pockets were so heavy from all the lead sinkers...I'll be cashing a load in soon at the scrap metal yard.

Would love to find some IH's / V nickels / Barber Half dollars...maybe next time.

Here's pics

As always, thanks for taking the time to look .

Hey Mag, you want lead? Come here and dive the river with me. you can get all the 2lb lead sinkers you want!! I come up and sell them to the fishermen for 1.00 each.

I can get anywhere from 20 - 100 in in one dive. The gernade fuses and the bank bag were found that dive and both those items were given to the police department. You find lots of strange things in this river!!

I buy any lead for $1lb +or- depending on scrap prices. Melt and pour into different moulds and then it's now worth $.75 an oz....
Problem is that I don't sell it...I fish and and so do my friends and well, er ummmmm, we're a bunch of losers I guess since I never have a surplus for long

However, after melting and breathing the fumes for years, lead poisoning does have it's upside.... for one, I no longer have to pay my Mensa dues :nerd:, and #2 zxytoiuiuo]p[iu9-Y UUUUUUUUmmmmm, sorry I was eating the old pealing paint off the window sill again......YUMMMMM!!!!!

Are you a monk??

You better watch it buddy:ranting:........I know where you lives!!!!!!!!!!...........It hain't effected me nuns yets!!!![/quote]

How many nuns do you have? I hope you keep the lead away from them
