Did a quick air test of the Racer 2 in my house. These were repeatable, clear signals(not a faint hit):

In inches

85 gain

3-tone
d-8
n-10.5
q-9.5

2-tone
d-9.5
n-12
q-11

deep
d-11
n-13.5
q-12

AM
d-12
n-14
q-13

gain 93 Alper's air test

deep
d-15
n-17.25
q-16.25

These being indoor tests with heaters, computers and other electrical equipment running, so it was being bombarded with EMI(it was chirpy to say the least, but stable as it could be). I am very pleased with these air tests.

BEY, very good information man! Now when are you going to find some silver? :)

Thanx Bubba! great question! Life is making sure i dont get to use the R2 until im ready to. I would be out by now, but i got a charity bowling event I need to attend in a few hours :)

Good info on the air tests...thanks for the information.

Now now Del, we have to think about our priorities....with drinkin' beer and chasin' wimmin, detecting can't always come first (though at my age I'm finding I have to ease off in the beer department):)

"with drinkin' beer and chasin' wimmin, detecting can't always come first "
