I'm beat - my neck, back and legs are killing me, but I'm so happy with the amount I have found. I'm over the 150 coin per day mark (another goal of mine)!!! I finally joined the car club, I really wanted to find a car, but now I have 2!!! It took me a little over 7 hours and 4 tot lots and 1 grade school, but here is my finds:

17 quarters
33 dimes
17 nickels
92 pennies
1 gold earing

2 cars
1/2oz lead fishing weight
1 gigantic nut
& more trash than you would believe!!!

todays grand total is 159 coins found in 7 hours worth $9.32. My weekend combined totals are 297 coins found, 11 1/2 spent metal detecting worth $15.53.

I took a picture of both days finds because I don't want anybody to think I'm trying to fool anyone.
The penny with the cat earing is just to show scale.

This is an excellent post to refer somebody to when they ask how log will it take me to become proficient with my Ace 250. With the total of nickels and pulltabs you dug, as well as the amount of time you are hunting, I expect some amazing finds are coming your way. It is also an incredible number of cents.

I started out keeping my cars in a bait box and now they are in a giant plastic peanut jar (holds 5 lbs of peanuts) and I'm looking for something bigger. I also have a jar I keep bullets/shell casings in that is almost full.

Here is a goal I set for myself that I have never met. At least enough cents, nickels, dimes, and quarters in one day to make a roll. I had a day where I found over 50 each of cents, dimes and quarters (yes I know it only takes 40 for quarters) but managed only 19 nickels.

I am really glad you don't live near me. That is a big compliment.

Chris

Nice finds. Forget goals, just have fun. It's a hobby, goals are for work.

It is all just a matter of time. What you are doing will bring you a lot of really good finds and lots of rings.

It reminds me of prospecting. Some places the ore is richer in gold. The more ore you process the more gold you will find and that big nugget will pop up.

bro that is an awesome day!!! I'd love to hunt ALL day like that, but I simply cannot. I only see my wife/son on the weekends because she is on 1st shift and I am on second. So I feel guilty about being gone the whole time hunting.

You are doing simply fantastic, keep it up!

Thanks everybody, I was like a mad man out there. Im just tryin to like up to my name, treasurefiend. :detecting:I can spend all day because I have yet to find a girl that will put-up with me, Also I have no kids and no pets, so if I ever wanted to take off for the weekend, nothing is stopping me.
