3/10 Before Supper Hunt With My Classic SL

Got a chance to run to my old school grounds for a short hunt. Not a lot but a couple of interesting finds. Here is my loot for this afternoon.

Lots of clad and some relic finds.
You did well with the classic.:clapping:

and discontinued models are inferior. I think by the time I go on vacation I'll have my detector battery complete, and it will only include one new model. The 'classic' performance of the IDX Pro and 6000 Pro XL will continue to serve my needs just fine.

Were you using one of the 6

No, believe it or not I always use the 950 coil. It has a great combination of depth and separation. I have never had a large coil with better separation than this one. I think it helps that I use such a slow sweep speed, it allows for better recovery among trash. Whatever the reason, it has sure been working for me.

You need to try the little Bullseye coil in those trashy areas. You won't believe how well this coil works in the iron laden sites. In my bad ground with the detector properly set up I loose very little depth with the smaller coil. It is my favorite coil on my Mr. Bill's modified IDX Pros for most of my hunting. Monty thinks I'm a bit "CRAZY" because I own three modified IDX Pros. Where did he get such an idea?

modified IDX Pro's and a modified Classic III SL. Almost the same. I kept the 4" 'snooper' coil affixed to the Classic III SL full-tame. Deadly in the nastiest of iron trash!
