3 1/2 Hrs in the most hunted tot lot in Arkie Land.......:cam:

If you ask where to hunt in Little Rock, the state capital,
the first thing you will hear is Fair Park.

It is very old with lots of history and my guess is that it's
the busiest and most hunted tot lot in Arkie Land.

I found my first gold there. It is one of only two tot lots that
I have found a gold ring in.

I was there for three hours before I wilted in the Arkie heat.

Here's the pile I made it home with.

After cleaning and removing most trash.

Here you can see a few ear rings, four rings, some thingeys.
The big gold colored chain is not gold (darn it). But it isn't broken.
The small chain is gold. It tested as 12k gold, but it's real hard to
test a chain that small. But it is at least 12k.

The little thing that looks kind of like a spur is 925 silver. The stone
is not a diamond.( darn it )

I found 4 rings. They are all cheep rings except one looks like a
man's wedding band. It says " TrewTungsten, WC, Made in USA "
It also has some numbers in it. Probably a production number.

Now this thing was a real surprise. It was real deep. Deeper than.
my Fiskers digger is long. It was below the sand in the tot lot and
into the hard pan. It seems to be brass.

very well done for a place thats been hunted to death....just shows the sayings true..there is no such place as a hunted out spot....congrats

that tiny gold chain was broken on one end when I found it.

After I dug it up the catch came off the other end.

The chain seemed to be deep. I mean like 4". That's deep
for a tiny gold chain.

Just for my curiosity, I buried the chain with about 4" of
sand, spread out and without a catch.

The Compadre picked it up easily. Good signal.

I looked up Trew Tungsten rings on the internet.

Could not get a price on the Internet.

But I did get the phone number of the closest dealer.

Cecil's Fine Jewelers.

I have the Style Number so I asked how much for one of those rings.

She said $600...................

Nice! Do you mainly stick to the mulch areas where the play eqmt is, or do you go out into the grass (under tress and such)?

Hay Shooter,

When I do tot lots it is a dig all and fast pace.

It's sand or gravel or wood chips or shreaded tires.

I recover most targets with my foot and just bend over to pick them up.

I usually recover around 300 an hour, or more.

So I don't mix them up. It takes almost no digging tools for tot lots.

So I am not prepared until I go to the car and get my other tools.

When I get on a tot lot, I usually stay on it till there are no more finds.

Not even a bobbie pin.

Of course I can never get it all. But I will have covered it all.
