2nd hunt with Xterra....GOLD!

Today I hit a swim beach area at a local lake. This was a first for me and I can definitely say that I now have a new respect for dealing with sand!! I found so many pulltabs I couldn't BELIEVE it! I didn't want to discriiminate them lest I miss gold, so I decided to wade and detect the shallows. My third target rang out and just seemed different somehow, certainly repeatable signal that didn't bounce around. When I shook the sand out of my scoop, I saw a glimmer of gold peeking out at me!! SWEET! Seems like shortly after that the people started arriving and the place started getting busier. I kept swinging awhile and found more pulltabs and 52 cents of modern coins. At this point I"m thinking the guy on the Xterra logo-the one holding the detector in the air..that's me!!
