2nd Hunt With The F75 SE...

It was better, especially once I put it into PF and lowered the sens. a bit. I used the 5" coil in another corn field/old residence site (now gone). I was hunting along listening to all of the questionable signals when a super nice hit came up at 64ish. Repeatable all the way around! I was thinking this could be an IH, nope but it was a 1909 wheat back. Nice to hear a good hit! Next row over another nice hit in the low 80's - Wow a CW Store Card token!! I never found one from Hillsdale? MI - Diesinker. It took a while, but finally I got another nice sounding hit and dug the Niles Store Card. Another row and up came the Good For token! Then an unusual mid tone that sort of went high once in a while turned out to be an 1863 fat IH! Mighty nice shape for a field. One final wheat 1956D made the total.

All of these goodies were only three inches at max. I tried many good sounding deep hits and most turned into iron, once dug. It got to where I was disappointed if it was deep since they all seemed to be iron. Oh, well it was much more fun learning today!

Great token find's. I'd rather find a token than a coin, any day,

I understand the early wheat backs are made of the same composition as IH's. Not sure exactly where the cutoff is but the 09, 10, 11 and 12 ring up like IH's for sure.
Thanks - BF
