went back to the same park area i went yesterday. found my first wheatie (1941), 5 clad quarters, 6 clad dimes (2 of which where 1965 and1966, just missed silver), and 18 clad pennies for a total of 2.03 in clad. Also found an old pocket knife.

I'm an Aussie so excuse my ignorence, but what in tarnation is a wheatie? HH regards Nugget.:detecting:

"Wheat" cent refers to the reverse side of a Lincoln penny. Shafts of wheat to represent a bountiful nation. Minted 1909 to 1957 I think. Next to one is a "Memorial" cent, which refers to the Lincoln Memorial now minted on the reverse. Hope this helps.

HH, twalton
