2AM Spin Down The Lane...

...snags some 14K and a belly ring! But not a whole lot else. It was really quite bleak...very sanded in, disturbing lack of targets. I came down to do a 2 to 5 AM hunt for a 3:42 low tide. I ended up packing it in after 2 hours...it just wasn't happening.

The gold charm was in about 2 feet of water. The surf was WAY down tonight and I spent about half my time wading.

you think that's a ruby? We just got a bunch of rain out of the last storm, not much happenin around here.

Dave

Yeah, it looks like a ruby. It's 14K, so more than likely they sprung for a real ruby. It's not like it's a real big one, so I doubt it's worth very much. But it is pretty unique.

Mike:
Did you order one of those new pull tab identifying machines. You look like you may have a couple of gold ones in there but you better have them tested to make sure........
Glad to see someone find gold. The last few times I have been out it has been quite Bleak. HH and good luck

Thanks Tim. Yeah, it's beg, borrow, or steal time down there. I hate it when our beach gets like that. Almost makes you not want to go. But then as quick as it dried up, it can open up again too and you don't want to miss that. One thing I know for sure is that it's WAY too soon to call "time of death" on this summer's hunting season. Yeas, we've gotten a lot of it. But there's more there that we haven't gotten yet. There are still some great finds to be made.
