27 clad in one hole.

Hello, No biggie, but thought I would post it. I thought of a different park by me and decided to hunt it. It was made in 1964 so I thought there might be some silver there. Nice big park with a baseball field. I got there late in the evening and the mosquitoes were unreal. Even with repellent on they were voracious.
Came across a nice signal and dug it. Found 27 clad coins in about a 1 foot circle all close to the surface. 21 dimes, 2 quarters, 1 1993 Kennedy half, and 3 pennies. Gonna go back there when it cools down and a better time, mosquitoe wise. Being made in 1964 there must be some silve there.
Any way I have attached the pic of the coins.
Thanks for reading and HH.
Dan.

why so many coins in one foot circle?

WTG nice hunting

Neat find. I wonder how that many coins got there. Seems to be way too many to be a pocket spill. Hope you find some silver & HH.

It's our American version of a "hoard", Bilko.

Thanks for the story and the pictures Dan. Congratulations on the unexpected.

Thanks all,

I have no clue why there were so many coins in such a small area. It was near where the home plate would be though. The original signal was 12-44 so figured one dime. The first little plug had lots of dimes. Every time I re-checked the hole got the 12-44. More dimes. I started to count them and then lost track.
By that time my other my metal friends came over to see what was up. Kept checking the hole and it seemed to be never ending. Dig up a bunch of coins, re-check and still more. Finally after diging the Kennedy Half the hole went silent. The Kennedy Half was my first half of any sort. It gave a 08-47 signal.
This is weird, I checked all around that area and there was nothing else. Not one good signal. Haven't had a chance to go back there. I was wearing sandals and got a cut on the underside of my big toe. Want to see it? Didn't think so.
Sorry for rambling on.
Dan.
