2500 on the beach

New member
Does anyone know if the 2500 will work very well in ocean beach sand? What is a good beach detector? Thanks

It should work fairly decent in the dry sand, worse in the wet sand. If you hunt in true all metal and ground balance it, you will see some improvements. Please hunt parallel to the water so as to not be changing wet to dry sand areas or from less to more mineralization.

Garrett detectors which will better handle the dry or wet salt are the newer AT Pro, the Infinium and the Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II.
