2500 is solid

Just to satisfy my curiosity, I have purchased the top of the line detector from another company and tried out others. They all have their good points but most have a big learning curve. But when I want to find silver, I can't be convinced that the Garrett with its notch discrimination and bell tone isn't by far the best machine available.

I use a small scorcher coil in trashy areas and I feel it out performs the other trash coils I have used.

Of course, I am a coin hunter at heart so I don't worry about the range of the notches as much as those that want each item to have its own number........Coach

i agree with you. my son has a 1500 and has found some deep items. seems all the talk is the f75, t2, minelab etrac. the 2500 never gets mentioned. they don't seem to think it is deep enough. i disagree.

Yeah Garretts are hard to beat. That's why they don't come out with a new one every time the sun comes up. Charles Garrett has tested all the current crop of detectors out there and has yet to find one that will out perform his machines.

The other day I scored a a nice 92.5 silver necklace with my GTI2500 and Scorcher coil in a real trashy area, it works wonders. :ausflag:

I just got my new GTI2500 this week. I can't wait till the weather gets warm enough to get out and try it out. I have had 2 of the GTA detectors , and loved them. I have heard alot about the GTI2500 and hope it works as good as they say.....Wish me luck !!!!
