2500 all-metal question

hello all. i am new to this forum and have been using a 2500 for a couple of years now. i am starting to use the all-metal mode and have found some coins that i missed with zero-discrimination mode. i haven't found any really deep stuff yet, and that's where my question starts...
what are the characteristics of a deep silver or copper coin when using the all-metal mode in terms of target id, sound, etc.?

my current method is to use the "fast-track" method and just keep my eye on the meter as i am swinging. i have been digging anything that pops up into coin range, but i suspect that deeper coins may i.d. lower since they are so deep... any suggestions? what am i looking for on the meter or what sound am i listening for to hear those deep ones?

thanks in advance!

Keeping an eye on the fast track mode true all metal mode is what I use too. All the targets sound similar, but the higher conductivity targets tend to give a more distinct "Bang" when under the coil. In my test garden, using the stock coil in true all metal mode gives me about 2 inches greater depth then discrimination mode. I can't use this mode in trashy areas very long.....too many signals and my concentration abilities wear thin. However, I have had good success using this mode at beach and older sports fields, where there are known deep targets and have been hunted hard.
