Is the all metal mode on the 250 a disc. mode with all the notches accepted? In all metal do you get a threshold? Can you use the reject notches while in the all metal mode? Thanks, Mark L
 
HI Mark! If all notches are filled in you have a all metal machine. There is no threshold in the all metal mode.You can notch any of the 12 segments in or out but then you may have a mode like the 4 preset.One thing nice Garrett gave the owner the option to make one setup you like and store it in the custom mode setting.You can not beat the options this machine give you for the money.It has great sensitivity and good depth. It is one of the few machine I have seen that will see a very thin gold chain and earings in this price bracket and higher.On the depot's Garrett forum some of the guys have made some good pionts about the 250 and also gave good tips.I am very pleased with my unit and don't see every getting rid of it.All I am waiting for is some optional coils for it.When are you coming back down to S.
