With the Sniper, just count the depth bars as inches. It effectively gives you 1/2 the listed depth in comparison to the stock coil. In other words, 1-2-3-4 instead of 2-4-6-8.

I never really bother to check the depth too closely. It just doesn't really matter too much to me. We are talking inches......not feet. I think the ID is about the same, but as in most scenarios, you have to make sure you are getting a reading with the target centered on the coil. If it looks like it is in/near a good target icon and sounds good....I dig it. :)

Due to the smaller size the Sniper ID varies slightly but if it lands on a coin or close to it dig it. Depth is pretty well on the money.

That's close enough for me. HAA. I rarely scrutinize the display. If it makes the right kind of noise I dig it. Old habits die hard.
