Today I found a small ring that looks to be part of a set. Maybe a promise ring to go with an engagement ring. I stopped at rhe local jewelery shop whom confirmed that it was both 14kt and that the stones were in fact diamond chips.
They said it was about a $300 ring if they were selling it. Not a big deal but the first ring I ever found with real diamonds.
I'll post a photo sometime later.

Way to go! Finding gold rings is additive.

What were you swinging?

Since last week I had trouble with the tesoro golden umax from some interferance I pulled out the Goldbug pro and the 5 1/2 inch coi.
I Actually eyeballed the ring before I went over it. I later checked it and it came in right at 45.

Dimes.........28...$2.70
Nickles........14...$0.40
Pennies.......44...$0.43

Good job. I have found lots of gold ring but never any diamond.

took me 6 years, to find my 1st gold ring , and i found it with the Sov GT it was on edge and sounded like a junk target, only 2" deep got a nice sand scoop with it .

Took me five years to find my first gold ring, but hope it's not that long before I find some again. Some of the 5 gold rings and several sterling rings had stones, but I don't know if they are diamonds or just glass. 2 rings were missing stones and if I had known they were gold and not just junk jewelry, I would have tried to find the stone in the sand. Live and learn, die and forget it all. HH.

I have found my first gold wedding ring on my second outing and have had several gold rings in my first year of detecting. Since than I have found hundreds of them in my 22 years of metal detecting. No diamonds though.
