Not only will those who are moving from an ETRAC to a CTX provide others who want to move up to an ETRAC, an ETRAC at an extremely good price, but the early adopters of the CTX will provide lots of valuable intel on the new CTX.
Years ago, I read on other sites how new owners of ETRAC's were having trouble becoming orientated on it. Many were bemoaning the day that they sold their old XXXXX machine, and some were even going back to their old machine and selling their ETRAC (some sold at bargin basement prices).
I do not believe that it was that the ETRAC that fustrated them, as much as it was their lack of having a vast knowledge base of information on the ETRAC before they bought it, because the ETRAC was new, and in some ways different, espeically if they were coming from a non-Minelab machine to an ETRAC. Not the fault of the ETRAC as it was the "newness" and technological advances of the ETRAC that fustrated them.
I believe it will be so with the CTX 3030. Some of the early adopt ers will fall in love with it instantly, others will "I wish I hadn't got rid of my XXXX." Then, it will all settle down, and information will pour foth from those who purchased a CTX, now, at it's introduction, and over time are learning it, and passing on their experiences and knowledge.
Then, at some point, there will be more adopting the CTX, either from the Minelab platform, or, a non-Minelab system as they read more about those who have experienced positive results with the CTX and they, too, want to get in on it.
Others, who are happy with their Safari, ETRAC, XTERRA, or, EXPLORER series will stay right where they are, and never suffer CTX envy, because they are happy and content with their kmachine and their results with it. They will buy the machines, extra coils, and accessories of those moving to the CTX, thus, making it more easy, finacially, for the sellers to make that CTX move. Hopefully, all will be more happy, all the way around.
