24,000 Milesotne Achieved Today :detecting:

Hi, all:

Been detecting since 1979 with a twelve year gap in the 90's due to job changes. Have kept records of numbers of coins found since I started. Today I hunted a new park for some clad and dug my 24,000th coin. I know many detectorists who have found a LOT more than that in their years of detecting, but coin hunting has been a secondary pursuit for me. My focus and priority have been in Civil War relic hunting. I coin hunt when the ground is too hard too dig, or the fields are high with grass. Relic hunting can be seasonal. I've done well over the years hunting camp sites and battlefields. I've dug 9100 Civil War bullets as well as hundreds of associated relics. Relic hunting is my first love. All have been found here in Missouri. My detector of choice right now is a Garrett ATGold. It works well for both coins and relics.

Keep on digin'
