I started detecting for the first time on September 15 with my Simplex. It took awhile for me to learn how to use a metal detector, and I’m learning more every time I use it. My finds from Sept 15 th to Dec 31 st are, 1564 coins consisting of 1 1923 silver dollar, 1 1921 walking half dollar,1 1891 seated quarter, 10 mercury dimes, 3 Barber dimes, 2 Roosevelt dimes, 2 Buffalo nickels ,1 V nickel, 2 War nickels, 1 1964 Jefferson nickel , 66 wheat pennies, 2 Indian Pennies and 7 Canadian pennies. six rings with 2 being silver, 66 dollars of clad plus 12 little toy cars, numerous buttons, tokens, keys and other assorted items which are to numerous to list. I don’t know a lot about metal detectors, but I like my Simplex. HH. Jim.

You have already made some great finds for what little time you’ve been at it!!!!
Very impressive for someone just starting out!!!!
Keep at and keep posting your finds.

Keep hitting the places you seemingly have a gut feeling for, its paying off!!!!

Thanks. Don't think i'll continue to do as well as there are very few places left where i can find those numbers. My town is quite small with only a few other lots to work on. HH Jim
