well i wanted to hit the beach this morning but slept in too late >:O so i spent the day researching historical sites here in broward county, fl. and start contacting differant ones. i got permission to use my detector at 2 of the sites so i feel better considering i miss the "morning hunt" at the beach. i think my 202 will do well but if upgrades are required so be it. i would like to get a water proof unit, any good ones under $300 to speak of? the 202 did well finding targets in the sugar sand near my families home in lake placid florida, thats why im optimistic about dry sand hunting at the beach. let me know if im straying off course, thanks :)

hello, if you feel need to upgrade, the 10 in. magnum coil is great. got mine on ebay for 40 bucks and its been like night and day in terms of depth, search area and accuracy. good luck, and hh

thanks!! i have only used it one time but i want to use it at the beach, also when i tested it it didnt seem like it went very deep but im new to all this so im trying my best. thanks for the info!
