2015...another fantastic year!

REVIER

Well-known member
Me and the F70...turning out to be quite a team.
Iron, trash, mineralization, masking...this thing will do the job in every situation I have come across so far.
Over $200 in clad hunting mostly the same sites over and over but that was just the beginning.
Silver coins, old coins of other types, a record for me, lots of silver jewelry and gold plus a ton of cool odds and ends.
Lots of bucket list firsts...a silver Peace Dollar, a seated dime, my first lead toy soldiers WWl I believe, a 22k ring, a large 14k pendant worth big bucks, a Dragoon button and so much more.
Every year I expect nothing, every year gets better and better and surprises me.
Just a few of the highlights of my year below, hope we all have a great year in 2016.
This is the best hobby ever, how can we fail?

Thanks, Elton!
Finding all this great treasure is just one joyful part of the hobby for me, learning to get the most out of my detectors I swing is just as pleasurable.
Not work, more like a labor of love.
Still learning about my Fisher, that will never end, and I will continue to post any info or insights that might help others along the way as I discover them.
I sure appreciate all the tips I read from others, too.
I wonder what the new year will bring?

Haven't posted in a while but thought I would tune in to say congrats!!!After all I did predict a good bling year for you.Keep up the good work.Have even a greater year 2016.HH

Thanks for taking the time to reply and thanks to all!

Just call me ol' blingy.
Once a jewelry hunter always a jewelry hunter, I guess.

Very cool finds!!

I'm jealous. All this in just one year ! Very nice finds. The rings are gorgeous.

Neat!
The three favorite silver rings I found last year was that one with the green malachite stone because if the cool design, the thick rope designed spinner and the bi-metal steam punk looking thing that appears to be a mixture of silver with a stone that is no stone but probably made of copper.
Weird signal on that one, both in and out of the ground.

This is not a complete representation of the silver jewelry I found, either.
Here are a couple more...
A shell earring with a pearl, a few other earrings, the thinnest silver ring I ever found at point 3 grams sitting on that dime and easily found with my Compadre, part of a sterling cufflink...

A few more cool odds and a couple of ends...

Another sterling pin I believe, a tiny arrowhead with just enough room to inscribe ster on the back.
A fake gold nugget ring, stamped with a karat mark but a ripoff.
I tumbled it and a nice looking copper ring emerged.
The Showbiz token was an early version of those stupid Chuck E Cheese tokens we find before the company changed hands and the name.
The Brackin's token was one of several local merchant tokens I found around here in Birmingham from a now defunct jeweler/eyeglass business that had several locations in a few different cities from the early 30's to the 50's...evidently this was a popular combination of different businesses back when.
One more look at a 1918-1919 Modern Health Crusader pin handed out to schoolkids if they earned it back in the day when tuberculosis was a big problem and killer in this country and all over the world.
Found this info about this pin and its history, this thing was probably gold plated when it was new.

Discovering the obscure history of our finds us one the most enjoyable parts of this hobby for me.
