2014 silver coin review.:garrett:

Had another fun year chasing that elusive silver coinage. Thanks to the A T Pro not all of it stayed hidden. Although I do swing another detector on rare occasions, the A T Pro found 99 % of this years silver and gold.

Sniffed out a silver Rosie yesterday, so ended the year with 139 silver coins. Missing from the two group shots are a 64 Kennedy half and a 64 Washington quarter, that I gave away for our club Christmas gift exchange. The 1 dark coin with the biggest silver group is the 1865 2 cent piece I was fortunate enough to get my coil over this past fall. That, in fact, was my oldest coin find for 2014 and my first 2 center found.

Over the course of the year I did recover 6 gold rings. Of which, not all are handy for taking a group shot. I'm not a big trash digger, so any gold finds are a bonus. 6, though, is about my annual average for the past several years. According to my finds log, I found almost 30 silver jewelry items throughout the year. Along the way I found 6 V nickels, 13 Buffalo nickels, 11 I H cents, well over 400 wheat cents and several period relics.

The majority of my finds came from the Memphis area, but the lake region where we go in Minnesota and St Simons Island also contributed some old coins and jewelry. An old fairgrounds in Mn yielded me the 1896s key date Barber quarter. The only key date of any coin type I have ever found in 40 + years of detecting.

Hope everyone has a safe New Year's and a stellar 2015 detecting year. This sure is a fun hobby! HH jim tn

Holy Bleep! :surprised: :yikes::puke:

This is quite a serious testimony regarding (yourself) and the Pro!..:puke:.

40+ yrs detecting experience behind all sorts of coils!....not only a stinky pile of silver coins, more gosh darn silver coins than most find in a lifetime!...but 6 gold/30 silver jewelry items in one year is no small accomplishment for anybody (half your age) :rofl: running ANY rig!...so you like the Pro huh?:rofl:

It sure has been a total blessing watching you work this 'G Pro rig, funny, just thinking back to when they first came out, how we were carefully following the chatter here on the forum, thinking and wondering, 'What is it about this Pro?'...we were all sort of hovering around here until we just couldnt stand it any longer and had to get one! i'll never forget the post that pushed me over the edge...A guy simply cant argue with results, and you sure delivered! :thumbup:

Thats a beautiful silver shot there buddy! Lookat all those damn dimes! :yikes: And to think you've not got deep into the water with your Pro makes this year of yours so amazing!! All dirt work! Congratulations and a very Happy New Year! (Great Merciful Damn, lookat that Silver Dollar!):rofl:

Congratulations on a great year, Jim and thanks for posting all these excellent finds to inspire the rest of us. Wish you and all the other members a great 2015. I can get frustrated because I can't go metal detecting or I'm not able to detect and come on this forum and read some of these posts and all is well. If I can't get out I hope everybody else can. GL & HH. Those standing liberty coins and mercury dimes are beautiful.
