Minelab excal 800 and 1000, Garret propointer. Whats the best high trash (aluminum) coil for excal on land? Thanks for looking!

McDyver are you trying to find a coil that will not pick-up on Aluminum ? like slaw-- chopped up cans or even pull tabs ? i never heard of one normally slaw blows my head phones off !!! unless you can notch it out on a Excal , some of the guys i hunt with in fields that use the Excal,s hunt with the WOT 15 and they hit a smashed up cut up can,s down as far as 15 inches , it,s loud !!!! , i can notch it out with my GT but there is always a chance i will miss gold That is a nice haul of coins :detecting:. Good luck Jim

In terms of separation of trash with a larger coil? Then it's 12x10 all the way. Very tight detection field. But in terms of a small coil then it's either the 8" Minelab Tornado (which is 7 & 1/4") that does really well at separation, or the S-5 which is 5.5" and will do even better at separation....But the 8" coil has more depth and people say still has excellent separation.
