Very nice finds. I can see at least as much US silver there as I have found in the US over the past year.

They do get through the barriers..........I was there once and there was a shark attack. The next day they had a 12 foot hammerhead strung up on the beach. Needless to say, no one ventured past their toes in the water.

[size=medium]How about a little more detail of what's actually in that pile. That would be great to know.

What kind of barriers do they use?

They used to have a net system, but sharks would tear holes in them.

I looked it up really quick on the Net. They use drum lines, nets and they are even using electronic repulsion like you are seeing divers wearing now for protection.

Generally as a rule where sharks are I am not going in the water that deep. That's their world and you're out of your element as a human and if they get you in it you're done for.

I got a few interesting facts about shark attack prevention. Pics are numbered with corresponding information. (2) is true though.

"(1). Always wear a shark cage strapped to your mid-section. Made of high-grade three-inch corrugated circular steel bars, encrusted all around with a two-inch layer of concrete, this twelve-foot by sixteen-foot cage will protect any swimmer wearing it from the most ferocious shark attack. Swim in the deepest, most dangerous waters without the slightest fear, knowing that while wearing this shark cage you are completely safe. Under water, of course, the cage is weightless."

"(2). It is a proven fact that most shark attacks happen in less than three-feet of water. The answer? Never go in water deeper than three inches.

When we were in Acapulco, a man lost his leg to a shark and he was in waist deep waters!..........That bay for some reason has been known for it's dangerous sharks.........Oh and they do have sharks in their swimming pools to........2 legged kind!

The locals hassling? You mean they were looking for hand outs?
