[size=large]GH sent me on this mission a while ago,,thanks GH
Took me a while to take these in...my bank said they wouldn't have taken them,
Except for the fact that I have a buisness account
The bank rejected about 196.00 from my original deposit
It's hard to give you an exact amount..had to make several deposits

I bought my loot fom Bullion Direct

You took the entire lot of coins to the bank and they actually rejected some or did they finally come around and take them? Then you took the money received from these deposits of coins alone and got all the cash I see AND purchased the bullion, without refining anything? UNREAL MAN! Gimme just a few more details to help me to understand EXACTLY what happened, cuz ya know I'm a little slow! What a NICE CONVERTION! YOU STILL GOT CHER TREASURE TOO! On the agenda now, will be to fill the treasure chest with refined bars of silver & gold, get the vision? Looks kind purty don't it? I LIKE IT ALL MATE! GH

It' like this ...With a business account the bank gives you change bags....they have nothing to do with the clad!

The weight limit per bag was about 50lbs....I rounded it off to about 40 - 45lbs per bag...and put my account # on the bag

My bank goes by my word (amount per bag)..The they credit my account

Either I miscounted...(over 18,000 coins)...or there was bad clad in the lot

I made no attempt to clean any of the coins...Bad judgement on my part

The bank sends the coins to an outside party..who must have run the lot through a coin counter or something

When I got my bank statement ..there was a huge deduction...

I am in the same vote this year...got to figure out how to make a huge tumbler...3 -12lbs per load just don't cut it!!

Hope this answers some of your questions.

Maybe use a small cement mixer for a tumbler?

There's a story in a recent Garrett publication about a guy who used a cement mixer to clean up his pile. I am not in the same league with only 4100 coins in my hoarde so far in 2007 but I did get way behind on tumbling my clad. A solid week got me caught back up 3 pounds at a time. 18,000 coins would have taken me the rest of the year! I'm saving the pennies and my remaining finds for a winter project.

Amazing amount of coins! How many gold and silver items did you find in the same period?

Chris
