2005 silver jewelry

I've been trying to learn my new camera, a Kodak Easyshare C340 5.0 megapixel. Well, today, I think I got it figured out. I can't zoom in as tight as I could with my old Mavica FD-75 and still remain focused, but at 5.0 megapixels, I can just crop most of the image out and still see my subject.

I also just got a laptop, so I rigged up my photolab like I normally do, and had the laptop behind me on a small desk. I would capture a few images, while experimenting with settings each time. When I got done with that, I'd turn the camera off, take out the SD card, and stick the card into the card reader that's built in to the laptop. Then, I'd open the image(s) with a web browser, to see what the unaltered image looked like (believe me, they're huge!). Once I had figured out what I needed to do, I'd stick the card back into the camera and take a few more pics.

Anyway, here's all the silver jewelry I found last year.

Once my other half comes home from the hospital, I'll see if she knows where the 10K ring that she "claimed" from this year's loot is. Then I'll post of pic of all my gold jewelry.

Note: the picture(s) might not show up due to bandwidth limitations. If the picture(s) are not there, check back at a later time.

See if the camera has a close-up button. It is usually next to the flash control button on the Kodak models. There should be a flower symbol next to the button. This will allow you to get REAL close.

It's on the dial with this model. I'm still figuring it out. I'll need to take my laptop downstairs to the photolab, get everything running, then start taking photos and looking at the results on the laptop.

Push comes to shove, and if I need to get REALLY close, I'll get one of the magnifying glasses that you can mount the base securely to the table, then move the armature around and position the lens exactly where you want it. I could shoot through the lens. I know some folks have done that. Heck, I did it with a small handheld-magnifying glass to catch the mark on a silver earring two years ago.

Nice Allen! I totalled mine up by ounces last night just to see what scrap value was and got my feelings hurt. I came up with 14 ounces since I started on jul '04. It came out to $141.75. Oh well beats pull tabs huh.
