Couple outings with the Dual Field, both during the major negative low tide around and before sunset. Got one good long hunt in and the other cut short by an approaching thunder storm. Only one good find, albeit just a silver Native American ring. The short hunt had my hopes up when I saw the gold stud falling through the scoop on the second try. The whisper of a signal, shiny gold color with writing on the back that I could not read and the magnet not grabbing it on the first scoop had me thinking I had my first gold & diamond stud, but the writing says Stella & dot, the stone is peach quartz and the gold is plated...just another dud stud All I got on the short hunt was 32 cents, trash, the GP stud and the other one found stuck to the magnet along with the razor blade...Yikes!!
Seen and talked to a couple water hunters Saturday morning while I was out doing a beach hunt with the Xterra, they at that time had not found anything, but like me were hoping for a little surf & stir action from the approaching storm. Looks like were just going to get a bunch of rain from it, but on the good side the weekend was saved so far so tourist can still get out and make some fresh drops. GL ALL
