Went to the woods today for about 2 hours toting the Vaquero. Most of my finds the last two years have come in these woods. Dug up a horseshoe, other large rusty iron objects, rusty cans, square nails .... then hit a 1925 merc. It was only about 4 inches down , but it disc out at nickle. After recovering it I found a piece of rusty wire next to it. Im guessing that is why it disc out so early. About ten foot away I got a real sweet signal. I was excited before I ever dug. I was predicting silver quarter or perhaps a half. I got this nice turquoise silver bracelet about 6 inches deep. It reads "SILVER PRODUTS COIN SILVER" on it. This is the same place where I recently dug a civil war era button . Last year I dug at least 50 old coins from here dating back to 1851. The Vaquero is a serious woods machine.

That silver bracelet is out of this world fantastic! Way to go.

Hatpin,

That silver bracelet is old, it has that pretty pea green turquoise stone in it. Great job!

Heres one close to it that sold for 150 dollars.

It looks like you hit pay dirt.

Nice hunt, love that bracelet

awesome finds hatpin. You have sweet place to hunt there!

I dig old jewelry. Very cool find!! Trade you a 1730 kg..

that is one productive spot , very nice finds for sure . They looks so cool against the dirt like that .

Very nice!

I pulled it out of the dirt, then put it back to take the photo. Tried to get it like I found it. When I saw it I pulled it out fast without thinking to take a picture.

Ive hunted this spot to death in the past two years. Most of the time , anymore, I come back with nothing. But as long as I'm digging shotgun shells and 22 bullets I know there are still good things to be found.

You say you are hunting woods. Is there any rhyme or reason to the spot? Any significance to the spot? Wheaty

Its the wooded area of a park. It was logged in the 1800s ant then donated to the city. The valleys and hillsides were allowed to grow.
