Todays hunt was at a spot I found years ago but was un-able to hunt it due to high grass and overgrown brush, driving by today I see that they had removed some of the brush to widen the road, what caught my eye to this spot was the old light mounted on the side of this big oak tree. What I think this spot was is a veggie stand, otherwise you would mount a light to a building was what I was thinking, well anyway I used TTF at this site and got a 41 washington and another dateless SLQ (4th without a date this year), 4 wheats dated at 26-37-41-57. I hope I can get back there when the brush is gone but before the dozer hits it:confused: Thanks 4 lookin Mike

Nice Finds! Congratulations!!! Love those SLQ's

That was a good day of detecting, Congrats -- Randy

spoils go the observant....nice finds! id love to find two silver quarters any day.

SLQ's are a real nice find and a great looking coin!

It was very common for the dates to wear off the earlier - "Pedestal Type" - SLQ's- that's why the dates were more recessed on the later version of this coin.
You can read about this in the coin "Red Book" or On-Line.
