2 rings and a beach lovers charm bracelet

Got up this morning and thought about work....so, loaded up the MD, Scoop and headed for the beach. I actually did have a choice to work, my choice was nope, or go look for a ring that was lost over a week ago in heavy surf right near shore. The guy only called me about it a couple days ago, he is already back in Illinois. He gave me good directions as to its possible location and I searched it for a good hour with no luck. I did find a Tungsten ring (no mark but I assume it to be), 925 ring and a nice charm bracelet that must have belonged to a true beach worshiper. GL ALL

Thats another heavy chain there, Bob!.:surprised:.makes nearly 100 grs in silver chains alone in this past week for you?..:please::please:

Regarding work, its often a temporary and unprofitable nuisance, a heavily taxed waste of time, with a dress code....so the quicker you stop thinking about it and get out swinging coil, the better off you will be!.

Congrats on the heavy silver charm bracelet there! Do you hold on to your silver or cash it in?

I know that feeling when you have a general idea where a ring is lost in the ocean.
You think just one more swing of the coil will find it.
Kind of becomes an obsession doesn't it?

Mud...It sure would have been nice if it was 100g of gold, but silver is nice. I have my doubts about the charm bracelet, only one charm is marked 925, the chain is stamped Taiwan 925 and has a slight magnetic attraction. Any 925 jewelry I have found from Taiwan or Thailand is always magnetic.

GS...I have a high school friend that's a jeweler that buys my scrap, but I only scrap broken/trashed finds. I do better selling to friends, relatives and my jeweler who has taken some to sell on consignment.

Robo.....My recovery percentage on lost rings is not as good with directions as it is with the "loser" being there to point out the location. Either way, I enjoy the opportunity/experience of the hunt!
