Did 4 hrs of water hunting this morning,,started around 8am...the tide was going out till noon,so i decided to MD the gulf side of the sand bar...as deep as i could work,Ive always found few targets out this deep, trash or treasure.. you can go for some time with no hits...with calm clear water i was determined to stay out side the bar only, and dig even the faintest of targets....First target was a dime, second a quarter, three be the tungsten/18k ring...good start no trash...Got a few deep bottle caps,a sinker, couple quarters,in an hours time ...Got the class ring on a faint tone that took 3 scoops to bring up...10k 1946..got the school(Welsh)and 3 initials, they would be 80+...Even after CJ post about" foolish people"I feel compelled to try to locate this person if they are still living...just to know how long its been lost.
Like i said, very few targets outside the bar...saw one other MDer that was working the trough between the beach and bar,so i made my way in to say hi...Here is were i should insert a link to my post on the Metal detecting forum this morning...but I'm 0 for 2 in that,so go look...not much for the next hour of hunting, small earring, poker chip(still dont know what their good for,got 3)and some change...but a nice morning!! HH GL
