I went looking for some bullets in an old cival war training site . I didn't find any bullets but did manage this 1784 2 reale. it read 12-39 at about 7in. but it finally popped out at closer to 10in. the ground here is bone dry so maybe that explains the difference in the depth and tid. its not in the best shape but it is what it is

Huge congratulations on that awesome colonial silver. You just never know what is going to come out of old sites like that.

Awesome find! It's been some years since I dug any Spanish silver..

Put it on a chain or leather strap and wear it like the day it was lost.

Ha, Todd, I was thinking about you when I wrote that!

I may not have dug Spanish silver in some years now but I have been in very close proximity to someone that has.
