Question #1 I have heard different stories - that Fisher and Bounty Hunter got bought out by First Texas and now there are only First Texas detectors - that Fisher and Bounty Hunter are still seperate - that First Texas is putting all it's resources into Fisher and will phase out the Bounty Hunter line. Not sure which is true if any of it is. Can someone clear this up for me.

Question #2 Is there a "real" Fisher forum such as like Tesoro's. Tesoro has a forum where "the man" or peolple that work at the factory visit the forum and answer questions and post valuable info. It is not uncommon at all to find the Gifford's (the "men" of Tesoro)hanging around the forum. I really enjoy this forum and all it's members but think it would be nice if some folks that work at Fisher,First Texas or what ever you call them would stop in. Thanks! Steve...

Ok, here's my answers, as I understand things are happening right now.

First Texas does own both BH and Fisher. I know that the designers for the T2 worked on the F75 and F4. I'm assuming that the same designers will produce more detectors for both companies, but whether they'll be knock-offs of each other, I'm not sure. As to First Texas phasing out BH, I haven't heard anything.

If you'll look around on this forum, you should find a post with a transcript of an interview with the co-designers of the F-75. They mention in that interview that they do read up on this forum, but don't generally post

There are some very knowledgeable people as well as many ardent hunters with vast Fisher detector experience that post on the Fisher, f75 and cz forms, just to mention three. HH jim tn
